Springhead Primary School

Next week Pablo & The Potters, the creative practitioners that work alongside Springhead Primary School’s pupils are riding from London to Paris… ..on a 230mile trip to raise money and awareness for The Big Issue and homeless people around the UK.

Springhead has had a fund-raising event when they did a 2 day long run and cycle on play equipment to raise money for them.

Year 1 have been finding out about old teddies, and have made a papercraft animation to explain how the first bear got his name.

As part of their persuasive writing unit, the children wrote scripts and performed advertisements for a new cleaning product.

In the Spring term we researced the lives of Viking warriors. We made discoveries through looking at pictures and reading documents. One of our favourite activities was designing and making our own models of Viking longships.

Year 3 and 4 learning in Parrots Drumble

The children in Years 3 and 4 have enjoyed visiting Parrots Drumble as part of their learning experience in their Rainforest topic. Parrots Drumble is an area of local woodland which is managed by Staffordshire Woodland Trust. We have investigated the layers of the woodland, hunted for a variety of minibeasts and studied the conditions plants need to survive.
